I opened Better; for Living with Danielle Gaito. We redesigned and renovated an abandoned building in the outer Richmond District, and opened in the third quarter of 2015 with the intention of showcasing the work focused upon craft, sourcing, and design —rather than solely margins.
We are the exclusive vendor of the brands we carry in The Bay Area, often California, and even the United States. While we are strong supporters of our personal friends brands like Vejas, and Eckhaus Latta, we were also the first vendors in the world of now global hit brand Marieyat, and the United States with brands like Beira, Max Tan, Harry's, and more. We shoot our own content, built our own website, host events and gallery shows, and produce unique products —which we now additionally sell at The Noguchi Museum gift shop in NY —in addition to those made by others exclusively for us.
We are strange people who keep strange hours, but are open every weekend from 11:00am - 7:00pm and by appointment whenever.
